Blazewear Heated Gloves - Activa Sport

Keep hands warm at all times with these stylish black and silver heated gloves. With adjustable velcro fixings on the wrist and inner the Activa Sport gloves are both flexible and comfortable to wear.

The Activia Sport heated gloves make use of a polyamide metal-etched heating element which heats all five fingers and the back of your hand. The gloves are ideal for outdoor activities in cold weather such as walking, cycling and even skiing.

These heated gloves are made from lightweight, water resistant nylon and fitted with waterproof and breathable Ultra III Tec membrane. The gloves are strong, durable, comfortable and very warm, invaluable for people who suffer from cold hands and can help to relieve mild arthritis.

How do they work?

The gloves feature an advanced battery operated heating system, which circulates gentle warmth around the hands, focusing on the fingers and the backs of the hand. The batteries are hidden in a clear compartment on each cuff. When switched on, they will heat the gloves up in a matter of minutes with over 3 hours hot time from good quality rechargeable batteries or 3.0 - 5.5 hours when used with new Lithium Polymer batteries (2 heat setting battery 3300mAh). This can be dramatically increased if you only have the gloves switched on for short bursts.

All Blazewear gloves come with two AA battery boxes as standard and require 3 x AA batteries or one Lithium Polymer battery (available as optional extra).

Available in 4 Sizes:

  • Small - 6.6" (17cm)
  • Medium - 7.4" (19cm)
  • Large - 8.2" (21cm)

As a rough guide to help you to decide which size you need, measure from your wrist to finger tip.

"I use the gloves to muck out my horse on freezing mornings. I have tried many different types of gloves and none stop my fingers from freezing and forcing me to go inside to warm up before carrying on. These gloves have done the trick! They are a little cumbersome but work fine. I switch them on for a few minutes before I need them and so far I'm very pleased. Thank you Primrose."

"Gloves are actually very nice but do not warm up that well. I thought they would be quite warm but I can hardly feel any heat - very disappointing."

Answer from Primrose: "Thank you for your feedback. The heated gloves do not actually get 'hot' they give out a gentle warmth similar to body temperature. This will help to keep hands comfortable. Kind Regards, Gill Primrose Customer Service"

"Gloves for my husband who suffers from chronic Reynauds - cold hands -walking our Irish Setter usually ensures his hands take forever to warm up - these gloves whilst they do not solve the problem - they at least keep the situation being any worse - and he feels much happier wearing them."

"Very prompt delivery and the gloves seem good quality. Unfortunately cannot feel any heat from these gloves at all, very disappointed. Have used them in the very cold weather so now cannot return them, one of those items that you need to try out to know if they work and is now too late to get a refund as they are used."

"As explained in my product review for the heated gloves for which the rechargeable batteries are the energy source, the wrong single battery charger set was dispatched in the first instance. This sort of thing happens from time to time of course, but Judith is to be congratulated on her very prompt action in sorting out the problem. Thank you Judith! The right batteries charger set arrived shortly after Christmas as expected; the batteries have been charged; one of the gloves has been test heated and everything seems to be working satisfactorily. I expect my wife to be using the gloves in the next few days. I sent an e-mail to Judith a couple of days or so ago about returning the wrong battery charger set and at the moment await a response and instructions from her."

"The gloves seem to be very well insulated as you would expect and comfortable to wear, however, I got too close to an oxy. burner and the outer cover melted instantly. This is my fault but means I will need some more sooner than I thought. The heater element is disappointing. It gives much less heat than I would have expected. It is difficult to tell if it's on or off even on high heat. The weather has been mild so far, maybe it will be more noticeable in cold weather. I am using lithium batteries. trevdav "

"I find the on / off button for the battery a bit fiddly , and battery life not great. Both of the above problems are easy to over come, and the purpose I bought them for ie help my father who has poor circulation, they work quiet well "

"One battery pack was impossible to open - I had to ask a friend's husband to help me! Also, I had hoped that the gloves would actually give more warmth and sorry to tell you that this was rather disappointing. If you ever create or find some really, really warm gloves then please let me know... In the meantime I wish you a Happy Christmas, and sorry again for the feedback, Corinne"
